To ensure we can provide timely care to all patients, we kindly ask that you notify our practice, either by phone or email if you are unable to attend your appointment.

Confirmation of Appointments

You will receive a confirmation SMS seven days prior to your scheduled appointment, please reply YES to confirm your appointment, if you need to cancel or reschedule call 7000 4000 or email rutherford@yarraomfs.com.au.

Missed Appointments

If a patient fails to attend a scheduled appointment of any kind, whether the appointment was confirmed or not and we have not received prior notice, it will be recorded as a missed appointment. Missed appointments impact our ability to offer that time to other patients who may require urgent care.

Rescheduling Appointments After a Missed Appointment

If you wish to schedule another appointment after failing to attend a previous one, a non-refundable pre-payment will be required at the time of booking to secure your next appointment. This pre-payment will be applied to your consultation fee on the day of attendance.

Late Arrival

At our practice, we aim to keep appointments to time to ensure all patients receive the attention and care they need without unnecessary delays.

If you are late for your appointment, please contact our practice as soon as possible to advise us. While we will do our best to accommodate you although a late arrival may result in your appointment needing to be rescheduled.

Patients who arrive significantly late and without prior communication may be asked to rebook their appointment so that we do not impact the scheduled appointments of other patients.

Late Cancellations

We kindly request that cancellations or rescheduling be made with adequate notice whenever possible so the appointment can be offered to another patient in a timely manner.
